THE ASSOCIATION FOR DRESSINGS AND SAUCES’ PORTION CONTROL/FLEXIBLE PACKAGING TRAINING MODULE SUBCOMMITTEE WINS TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

(June 2006) ATLANTA, GA – Members of ADS’ Portion Control/Flexible Packaging Training Module Subcommittee were presented with the Association’s 2006 Technical Achievement Award during ADS’ Technical Meeting in Austin, Texas, April 30 – May 2.

The Technical Achievement Award is given when outstanding work in furthering the dressing and sauce industry has been accomplished. The Subcommittee members include:

Joni Fagan, Ken’s Foods, Inc.
Erin Larson and Jeff Travis, Alcan Packaging
Paul Pratt, T. Marzetti Company
Ron Schmitz, International Paper
Jason Scroggs, Cryovac Sealed Air Corporation

The members of the Portion Control/Flexible Packaging Training Module Subcommittee received the award for their work in developing a training program to evaluate a package, which was held in conjunction with the ADS 2005 Technical Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.   The session provided attendees with the knowledge to design, select and evaluate portion control and flexible packaging materials, equipment and finished packages.
