THE ASSOCIATION FOR DRESSINGS AND SAUCES NAMES UNILEVER FOODS’ EASY OUT! MAYONNAISE SQUEEZE BOTTLE 2007 PACKAGE OF THE YEAR
ATLANTA, GA (October 2007) - The Association for Dressings and Sauces (ADS) named its eighth annual Package of the Year at its Annual Meeting held October 14 - 16 at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Coronado, California.
The Package of the Year award was given to Unilever Foods for their Hellmann’s Easy Out! Mayonnaise Squeeze Bottle. The 24-ounce squeeze bottle has a special non-stick inner surface that allows the mayonnaise to flow out of the bottle while reducing waste.
“We want to thank ADS for the acknowledgement and are proud to be recognized among all the great new products the dressings and sauces categories have brought to market,” comments Brian Orlando, Senior Brand Manager of Unilever Foods’ Hellmann’s mayonnaise. “The squeeze format has been a primary source of growth for the spoonables category. “
The Package of the Year award is presented by ADS to increase the awareness of packaging in general and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing, sauce and condiment-related packages. Nominations for the award were received and ADS members cast their votes for the package each deemed most innovative during ADS’ April 2007 Technical Meeting.
