Open Committee Descriptions:
Consumer Awareness Committee
The Consumer Awareness Committee (CAC) directs activities to raise product awareness, position dressings and sauces as part of a healthy diet and fosters growth of industry products. This is accomplished through various ADS-sponsored campaigns, such as National Salad Month, print and broadcast initiatives and research. Current projects include national broadcast projects (television and radio) and print activities, as well as industry product safety promotion and others. The promotion program for 2010 will also be addressed.
Portion Control/Flexible Packaging Committee
The Portion Control/Flexible Packaging (PC/FP) Committee addresses the needs of members involved in the portion control and flexible packaging industry. The group meets twice per year during the Annual and Technical Meetings. The Committee will discuss two projects during the meeting with a focus on sustainability and vision system technology. The Committee will also discuss revised Package of the Year Award guidelines and a new Committee scope, which includes all packaging applicable to the dressings and sauces industry.
