Air Service to Memphis
Memphis International Airport is served by eight major domestic airlines, including AirTran, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Northwest, United and US Airways. It is located just 20 minutes (13 miles) from The Peabody Memphis.

Transfer options between the Memphis International Airport and The Peabody Memphis include:
Tennco Express Airport Shuttle offers an inexpensive multi-stop continuous shuttle service between the airport and all downtown hotels. Price is approximately $15/person each way. You are encouraged to schedule in advance; the shuttle picks up on an hourly basis. Taxi service is also available at the airport.
Most major car rental agencies offer services at the airport. Self-parking is $15/day at The Peabody, with valet available for $5 more.
Driving Directions
The Peabody Memphis is located approximately 11 blocks southwest of the intersection of I-40 and I-240, just east of the Mississippi, at 149 Union Avenue, on the corner of Union Avenue and South 3rd Street. You can view and print a street map by using this link.
Traveling from the Airport:
The hotel is located approximately 13 miles northwest of the airport. Depart the airport heading north toward I-240 and downtown, via Winchester Road/Plough Road.
Merge on to I-240 west for 2.6 miles, then on to I-55 north for 6.1 miles. Exit I-55 onto South Riverside Road, continuing north approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right on Union Avenue; the hotel will be on your right after crossing 2nd Street.
Weather and Dress
In late April and early May, daytime temperatures are typically in the high 70’s, with evening temperatures in the high 50’s. Evenings can be cooler, so bring a jacket. Rainfall in April & May averages about 5 inches per month. Business casual attire is appropriate for all business sessions and social activities during the Technical Meeting.
